Day01: Paro-Thimphu
As your plane descends to reach the runway at Paro Airport, all your senses are subjected to the dramatic landscapes Bhutan proudly flaunts. Meet our representative at the airport and move to Amankora Thimphu (about 55 km.). The tour begins after lunch and passes through the national capital’s historical corridors. Explore National Memorial Chorten and other amazing museums and discover the full arrays of traditional artefacts and handicrafts at the local bazaars.
Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing
Begin the day visiting the marvellous fortress, Trashi Chhoe Dzong and Changangkha Lhakhang. Enjoy a wonderful hike to Cheri Gompa, where Shabdrong Rinpoche attained enlightenment, and Tango Gompa offering fabulous views of Thimphu Valley. Witness the remarkable arts of wood carving, paper making, sculpturing, painting, embroidery and others at Zorig Chusum School of Traditional Arts to culminate the day.
Day 03: Thimphu-Punakha
Drive past Dochula Pass at the height of about 3,050 m. and savour the inimitable beauty of Himalayan peaks. Along the route, visit the popular landmarks like Simtokha Dzong, Hong Tsho Goemba Monastery and Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Check in at Punakha Amankora and enjoy your lunch before you get out exploring some outstanding temples and monasteries.
Day 04: Punakha Sightseeing
Begin the trek to Khamsum Yuley Namgay Chorten while trekking through the lavishly green rice terraces and a variety of farms. Later drive to visit Phuntsho Pelri Palace and the incredible Punakha Dzong, probably the prettiest fortress in the entire Bhutan, located on the bank of River Punakha. Plan a trip to the picturesque village of Lobesa and take a walk to the Chime Lhakhang, the temple famous for granting boon of fertility to the childless couples.
Day 05: Punakha-Paro
Experience the astounding splendour of Himalayan peaks once again as you drive through Dochula Pass and make your way to Paro Valley. Admire the natural vistas while following the route along rivers like Wang and Paro. Check in at Paro Amankora located amidst gorgeous settings of pine forests. Take some rest and later visit the ancient temples and other structures in the close proximity.
Day 06: Paro Sightseeing
Start the day with a visit to Ta Dzong which accommodates the National Museum of Bhutan, where you get to explore the exclusive collections of Bhutanese arts, ranging from paintings to statues and sculptures. A short walk will take you to Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong), known as the host of grand Tsechu Festival (usually March-April). Spend the remaining day in excursions to the remarkable Drukgyel Dzong (also accessible on an exhilarating hiking trail), Kichu Lhakhang and Drakhapo Monastic Complex.
Day 07: Taktsang Monastery Hike
Popular as Tiger’s Nest, this charming monastery clinging to a cliff side signifies Bhutan’s cultural delight. Enjoy a memorable hike to the monastery, while relishing the nature’s grandeur along the way. Some stunning views of the region from the monastery can engage you for hours. Spend the remaining day shopping or enjoying a soothing spa session at the lodge.
Day 08: Departure
