Day 1: Paro /Thimphu

The flight to Bhutan takes you over the great Himalayas, offering the most scintillating scenery of the world’s highest glacial peaks.  Upon your arrival representative from the indo pacific holidays will receive you and drive to Thimphu for about 1hr. Check-in Hotel. If time permits we will do some sightseeing such as a visit to Thimphu  Dzong and Late King’s Memorial Stupa, built for world peace.

Day 2: Thimphu sightseeing.

Morning sightseeing includes – The Folk and Heritage Museum, which displays the day-to-day livelihood of typical Bhutanese farmers in the medieval period and their accessories; and Traditional Handmade Paper Factory. Painting School, which preserves our traditional paintings, sculpturing, and wood curving; Textile museum, the artistic handworks of Bhutanese women. 12th-centuryth century Changangkha temple, Takin-Bhutan’s national animals. National emporium etc. Evening visits Centenary Park for a leisure walk where locals gather.

Option for Nature Hike-Wangditse

Drive above Thimphu city, pass the Mothithang area, and drop by the Takin Reserve to see our national animal Takin, which is endemic only to the Himalayan ranges. The unique animal supposed to have the body of a cow and the head of a goat, is believed to have been created by Divine Madman out of his supernatural power. The peace road finishes at the broadcast tower, which further up is adorned by fluttering prayer flags. The view of south Thimphu from here is superb. The trail heads up for a while and detours to right through the apple orchard and a few farmhouses above the trail. From here the trail drops down gently through oak, blue pine, and rhododendron until you will reach Wangditse monastery. The view of Tashichodzong, Thimphu City, and the Buddha statue is stunning from here. (Another site can visit as per available time) Overnight at Thimphu

Day 3: Thimphu -Paro

After breakfast proceeds to Paro and visit Ta Dzong (national Museum); Then walk down the trail to see Rinpung Dzong (the fortress of the heap of Jewels built in the 17th century), traditionally this is the office of the district governor’s and the living place for monks.  Evening visit The Paro Street  and Vegitable market where the people come from  villages and sell their vegetables etc.

Day 4: Paro sightseeing

Morning hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger Nest ), the hike takes about an hour uphill till the viewpoint and another hour to the main complex.  Initially, Guru Rinpoche visited and meditated in 8th century at this particular site. The Desi Tenzin Rabgye later built the temple in the 17th century. If time permits you can also visit ruined DrukgyelDzong, the place of historic war between Tibet and Bhutan in 17th century; KyichuLhakhang, built in 7th century during the reign of the first Buddhist Tibetan king.

Day 5: Paro

After early breakfast in the hotel drive to the airport for a flight to the onward destination
