Bhutan Odyssey: A 4-Day Himalayan Sojourn
Day 01: Enchanting Arrival – Paro to Thimphu
Embark on an awe-inspiring flight to Paro, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas and renowned mountain peaks. Upon arrival, our Bhutanese associate will extend a warm welcome, followed by a scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city. Covering a distance of 65 km in approximately 2 hours, check-in at the hotel and spend the evening exploring the local areas. Indulge in a delightful dinner at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay.
Day 02: Thimphu Delights
After a hearty breakfast, set out for a captivating sightseeing tour of Thimphu. Highlights of the half-day exploration include:

– Folk Heritage Museum
Experience the flavors of Bhutan with a typical Bhutanese lunch at the Folk Heritage Restaurant. Continue the journey with visits to Sangaygang Viewpoint, Takin Reserve Centre, Changangkha Monastery, and the majestic Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion).
Day 03: Paro Expedition
Post breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Paro, stopping at the Tamchog Lhakhang along the way. The half-day Paro tour includes visits to Tamchog Lhakhang, Rinpung Dzong, and Ta Dzong.
Day 04: Taktshang Monastery Excursion
Begin your day with an early breakfast, setting off on an optional excursion to the iconic Taktshang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest. Perched dramatically on a cliff in upper Paro town, this sacred site holds historical significance as Guru Padmasambhava meditated here for three years, founding the Buddhist religion in Bhutan. Note: This excursion is optional and not advisable for senior citizens or those with health concerns.
