Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Paro International Airport

Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide and driver from Amedewa Tours And Trek. Drive to Thimphu with a visit to the iron bridge on the way and explore Tashichhodzong. Stay overnight at a minimum 3-star rated hotel or resort in Thimphu.

 

Day 2: Thimphu Cultural Sightseeing

Explore iconic cultural sites including Buddha Dordenma, National Memorial Chorten, Simply Bhutan Museum, Bhutan Postal Museum, and Motithang Takin Preserve. Visit a traditional paper-making factory and enjoy dinner at a farmhouse. Stay overnight in Thimphu.

 

Day 3: Day Hike in Thimphu

Embark on a scenic hike to Dodeydrak Monastery and explore the trail from Buddha Dordenma to Changangkha. Visit homestays and interact with locals, followed by dinner at a farmhouse. Stay overnight in Thimphu.

 

Day 4: Drive to Punakha

Drive to Punakha and visit the 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens at Dochula Pass and Punakha Dzong. Cross the suspension bridge and stay overnight in Punakha.

 

Day 5: Punakha to Bumthang

Travel to Bumthang via Pelela Pass, visiting Trongsa Dzong along the way. Stay overnight in Bumthang.

 

Day 6: Bumthang to Trashigang

Drive to Trashigang and stay overnight at a minimum 3-star rated hotel.

 

Day 7: Trashigang to Mongar

Visit Gomphu Kora and drive to Mongar. Stay overnight in Mongar.

 

Day 8: Mongar Tshechu Festival

Spend the day immersed in the Mongar Tshechu Festival, dedicated to Guru Rinpoche. Stay overnight in Mongar.

 

Day 9: Mongar to Bumthang

Return to Bumthang and enjoy leisure time at the hotel or resort.

 

Day 10: Bumthang Sightseeing

Explore Jakar Dzong, Jampay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Swiss Cheese Farm, Red Panda Brewery, and Tamzhing Lhakhang.

 

Day 11: Bumthang to Gangtey

Drive to Gangtey and visit Gangtey Goenpa.

 

Day 12: Gangtey to Thimphu

Explore the Gangtey Nature Trail and return to Thimphu. Enjoy the evening at pubs in Thimphu.

 

Day 13: Thimphu to Paro

Visit Paro Rinpung Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang, National Museum, and Paro Handicraft Market.

 

Day 14: Paro Tiger’s Nest Hike

Embark on a memorable hike to Tiger’s Nest in Paro and enjoy a hot stone bath.

 

Day 15: Outbound Journey

Bid farewell as we drop you off at Paro Airport for your departure.
