Introduction:

If you are curious about the local folk festivals during your trip to Bhutan, then Gasa is one of their major festivals. Gasa Tshechu is the largest festival in Gasa, a small district in northwest Bhutan, showcasing unique mask dances and local folk performances. Held every year at Gasa Dzong, this festival is for the people of remote mountain communities like Laya and Lunana, who are known for their distinctive costumes and jewellery. Apart from the festival, Gasa offers breathtaking mountain landscapes, making it a worthwhile destination.
