Day 1: Arrive At Paro Airport

 

Arrive in Paro and be welcomed by the majestic Himalayan peaks. Your private guide will escort you to Paro town for lunch. Begin your journey with an enchanting hike to ancient Zuri Dzong, offering stunning views of the Paro valley. Explore Paro Ta Dzong, the National Museum of Bhutan, and the courtyard of Paro Dzong.

 

Day 2: Hike To The Renowned Tiger’s Nest

Embark on a 4-6 hour hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest monastery, nestled 900 meters above the Paro valley. After the hike, relax in a traditional hot stone bath and enjoy a game of local archery.

 

Day 3: Paro – Thimphu

 

Drive from Paro to Thimphu, absorbing the mysterious views of the Himalayas. Stop at Tachog Lhakhang and visit the enormous statue of Buddha Dordenma. Explore Tashichoe Dzong and the Authentic Bhutanese Craft Bazaar.

 

Day 4: Thimphu To The Golden Punakha Valley

Journey to the golden Punakha valley via Dochu La pass, adorned with stupas and prayer flags. Visit Chimi Lhakhang and Punakha Dzong. Enjoy optional rafting on the Punakha River.

 

Day 5: Punakha- Glacial Phobjikha Valley

 

Drive to the beautiful Phobjikha valley, blessed with oak and rhododendron forests. Receive blessings at Gangtey monastery and hike the Gangtey Nature Trail. Spot black-necked cranes if traveling between October to February.

 

Day 6: Phobjikha – Bumthang

Scenic drive to Bumthang, passing Pele La pass and Chendebji Chorten. Explore Trongsa Dzong before reaching Bumthang valley.

 

Day 7: Discover Fascinating Bumthang Valley

Explore Kurje Lhakhang, Jambay Lhakhang, Tamzhing Lhakhang, and Tang Mebar Tsho in the spiritual Bumthang valley.

 

Day 8: Bumthang- Mongar

Drive to Mongar via Ura village and Thrumshing La pass. Visit Mongar Dzong upon arrival.

 

Day 9: Day Excursion To Lhuntshe

Excursion to Lhuntshe, known for its isolated rural charm. Visit Lhuntshe Dzong and witness traditional weaving in Khoma village. Experience rural monastic life at Do-Zhong monastery.

 

Day 10: Mongar- Tashigang

Drive to Tashigang via Kori La pass and Drametse monastery. Witness Gomphu Kora Tshechu.

 

Day 11: Tashigang – Tashiyangtshe

Day excursion to Tashiyangtshe to witness the Gomphu Kora Tshechu. Visit Chorten Kora and the School of Traditional Art.

 

Day 12: Tashigang- Radhi / Radhi- Merak

Drive to Radhi village, known for traditional hand weaving. Proceed to Merak village for a unique cultural experience.

 

Day 13: Explore Merak Village

Explore the unique Merak village and interact with the locals to delve deeper into their cultural heritage.

 

Day 14: Tashigang – Paro

Take a domestic flight from Tashigang to Paro. Explore Paro valley or stroll through Paro town.
