Day 01: Arrival in Paro – Journey to Thimphu and First Trek on Trans Bhutan Trail
Arrive at Paro International Airport, where breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks greet you. As you drive to Thimphu, the capital, stop at Tamchogg Lhakhang, a historic site with an iron bridge designed by Tibetan builder Thangtong Gyalpo. After checking into your hotel and a brief rest, embark on your first hike along the Trans Bhutan Trail, starting at Buddha Dordenma, an iconic statue housing 125,000 smaller Buddhas.
