If you are keen to visit Bhutan during winter, then you must come in the month of November to observe the crane dance. The Black-Necked Crane Festival celebrates the arrival of the endangered and majestic Black-Necked Crane in the courtyard of Gangti Gompa located in the Phobjikha Valley. Held on November 11, the birthday of the fourth King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the festival is a vibrant display of mask dances, crane dances and other cultural displays. It serves as a platform to raise awareness about the conservation of these endangered birds and also an opportunity for local villagers to come together and celebrate with friends and family.<\/div>\n
