Bhutan Short Escape

Day 1: Paro / Thimphu

The flight to Bhutan takes you over the great Himalayas, offering stunning views of the world’s highest glacial peaks. Upon arrival, a representative from Indo Pacific Holidays will meet you and transfer you to Thimphu (about 1 hour). Check-in at the hotel. If time permits, you will visit Thimphu Dzong and the Late King’s Memorial Stupa, built for world peace. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing

Morning sightseeing includes a visit to the Folk and Heritage Museum, Traditional Handmade Paper Factory, Painting School, Textile Museum, Changangkha Temple, and the Takin Reserve. Alternatively, you can drive above Thimphu, visit the Takin Reserve, and hike to Wangditse Monastery for a stunning view of Tashichodzong, Thimphu city, and the Buddha statue. Evening visit to Centenary Park for a leisurely walk where locals gather. Overnight at Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu - Paro

After breakfast, drive to Paro and visit Ta Dzong (National Museum). Then, walk down to Rinpung Dzong, a 17th-century fortress that once served as the district governor’s office and residence for monks. In the evening, visit the Paro Street and Vegetable Market, where locals sell fresh produce. Overnight at Paro.
Day 4: Paro Sightseeing

Morning hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger Nest), a 2-hour trek with historical significance. If time permits, visit the ruined Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang, built in the 7th century during the reign of the first Buddhist Tibetan king. Overnight at Paro.
Day 5: Paro

After an early breakfast at the hotel, drive to the airport for your flight to your onward destination.
